Kundali

What is Kundali Analysis?

Kundali analysis, also known as Janam Patri analysis, is a detailed map of an individual’s life according to Indian Vedic Astrology. It is an astrological chart that represents the exact positions of the planets at the time of a person’s birth.

How Does Kundali Analysis Work?

The analysis is based on the individual’s date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. Using this data, a chart (Kundali) is created. Planetary Positions: In a Kundali, the 9 planets called Grahas are placed in 12 Bhavas and 12 zodiac signs. These planets govern the external and internal life of humans. In Kundali analysis, we look at which house and sign these “governors” were in at your birth. For example, if the Sun (which represents the father and the soul) is placed in a particular house, it will influence the areas of life represented by that house.

The 12 Bhavas – Pillars of Life

The 12 Bhavas represent different aspects of life, such as:

First House

Self, Body, Personality (related to Sun).

Second House

Wealth, Speech, Family

Fourth House

Mother, Mind, Comfort (related to Moon)

Fifth House

Intellect, Children, Mantra (related to Mercury and Jupiter)

Seventh House

Spouse, Business Partner

Tenth House

Career, Karma (related to Saturn, Sun, Jupiter)

In Kundali analysis, every planet represents certain things in life. For example, Jupiter represents knowledge, children, wisdom, and respect from authorities. Mercury represents intelligence, communication, business skills, and sometimes stomach-related issues. Venus represents love, comfort, beauty, and wealth.

 Houses (Bhav)

In a birth chart, there are 12 houses. Each house represents a different area of life like money, marriage, career, children, health, etc.

Astrologers check:

Which planet is sitting in which house

Which planet is looking (aspecting) which house

This tells where the results will happen in life.

Dasha System

Dasha means the time period of a planet. Even if a planet is strong in your chart, its results will mainly show during its Dasha (major period).

So Dasha tells:

When something will happen

Which planet is active in your life at that time

For example, during Jupiter Mahadasha, matters related to knowledge, children, growth, and respect may increase.

 Yogas

Yogas are special combinations of planets. If good planets like Jupiter or Venus sit in money houses (like 2nd or 11th house), they can create Dhan Yoga (wealth combination). If difficult planets like Saturn or Rahu negatively affect important houses, they can create challenges.

The effects written in your file (like Jupiter giving knowledge and son, Mercury giving intelligence, Venus giving comfort) are called Karakatva (natural qualities of a planet).

Kundali analysis simply checks:

Which planet is strong or weak.
In which house it is placed.
Which Dasha is running.
What Yogas are formed

This helps astrologers understand what will happen, when it will happen, and in which area of life it will happen.
